Sydney - Whale Watching

November 2011, whilst in Sydney, we booked ourselves into a whale-watching trip.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

I have to be clear from the start, that there has been some significant use of Photoshop in preparing these shots. The weather was not good (see the first shot) which made for a very unsettled ocean, and a lot of pitch and roll out on deck - add in a 200mm telephoto lens and life was tough. The result of this was a handful of good shots of whales, and a lot of good shots of 'landscape' but not any great examples of both. All of these shots therefore combine two elements - a decent 'setting' shot, within which there were whales present but mainly just a hump showing through the surface - and a great whale shot that, for the most part, had only ocean in it.

All shots are from the same 90 minute period, and all taken within an area of approximately a quarter-mile radius, but I have fused two shots to give a more pleasing end result. If you don't like this approach then that's fine, I just wanted to be honest up front.
