Amsterdam Bicycles

In 2007 I travelled to Amsterdam, shortly after I obtained my first DSLR and began my hobby in photography.

I was fascinated by the numbers of bicycles, and particularly the "character" that many of them had.

This was the 'first draft' of a project I wanted to work on - albeit that I've never got around to coming back to it as yet.

As you can see I was experimenting with a number of borders more complex than my usual plain white, and also with some heavy post-processing effects (mainly the "Orton Effect" as it's known)

I hope to find time to revisit the originals sometime, but for now I think these stll stack up pretty well for early attempts.
